About Us

Over the past 15 years the Canterbury Private Physiotherapists association has provided a supportive environment and a forum for the professional development, collective marketing and legislative input for its members.

Through the publication of the CPPA register and regular meetings, the Association facilitates and foregrounds the special needs and interests of physiotherapists in private practice in Canterbury, and enables a common voice to be heard when dealing with sometimes diffuse local issues and fundamental issued on a regional and national scale.

It undertakes an educational roll for its members in providing relevant clinical information, business support and opportunities to develop professionally within the region and nationally, and in doing so seeks to promote a deeper understanding of physiotherapy as both a business and as a valuable health service to the Canterbury community.

The CPPA currently enjoys a strong membership with 95 of the regions private physiotherapists affiliated with it. These 94 represent just on 92% of all private physiotherapists in Canterbury.
